Myra Valencia Azucena is the CEO and Managing Attorney of Azucena Valencia Law Corporation.
Ms. Azucena immigrated to the United States in 1984 from Manila, Philippines. Her father, an entrepreneur, uprooted his family of eight to build a new life in the U.S. Her passion for immigration law began with her own immigrant experience and her desire to preserve civil rights.
Ms. Azucena has extensive experience in immigration law spanning nearly 2 decades. She has successfully represented hundreds of individuals in deportation/removal proceedings at the Executive Office of Immigration Review, Immigration Court and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) in the United States and abroad.
Ms. Azucena's focus is on Removal Defense, Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Asylum, Criminal and Fraud Waivers, Waivers of Inadmissibility, Deferred Action and Humanitarian Relief. She graduated with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California in 2004 where she served as the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Vice President of the Public Interest Law Foundation. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in June 2005.
Ms. Azucena is licensed to practice law before the California Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She is a member of the California State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Immigration Section and served as a Board of Governor for the Philippine American Bar Association. Ms. Azucena is an experienced immigration attorney practicing immigration law in Los Angeles, Pasadena, San Francisco and San Diego.
